Tributes have been pouring in for Burkina Faso filmmaker Idrissa Ouedraogo, who passed away on Sunday, aged 64.
South Africa’s box office hit Mrs Right Guy is part of the official selection of Fespaco 2017, the largest film festival in Africa and takes place every two years in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. The festival will run from 25 February to 4 March 2017.
FESPACO is pleased to inform professionals of the film and audio-visual industry that registration for film selection under the 25th edition of the African film biennial event, due 25 February to 4 March 2017, is now open.

Historically, Ouagadougou's film festival has been the ultimate showcase for African films. But recently the Cannes and Berlin festivals have opened up to African cinema, threatening to eclipse what the Festival Panafricain du Cinéma de Ouagadougou (FESPACO) once was.
