Coordinate monthly promo plan and make list. Production of graphics, logos, promos and fillers to promote On air programming in a unique style in line with the brands vision. Assist in maintaining a strong channel and cultural identity, which encompasses the attitude and character while targeting a wide pan-African audience.
Production of creative and high-quality material, under the pressure of tight deadlines and budgets. Must be flexible to carry out last minute amendments as requested while delivering all projects on time.
Liaise with the marketing and commercial departments, and with clients where necessary, to ensure that the external requests and the channel on-air requirements are balanced and met for all sponsored series and campaigns.
Create specific briefs for all elements required for in-house and/or outsourced productions.
Source show footage from the London library.
Script and direct voice overs where necessary.
Edit own in-house promos and graphic elements where necessary.
Supervise all outsourced projects making sure that all steps in the communication process with external companies are followed as well as ensure compliance with the channel’s need and regulations.
Supervise the look and feel of all outsourced projects making sure that they adhere to BET standards.
Coordinate the scheduling of promos and oversee all on air traffic.
Create and maintain a database with all relevant information on graphic elements.
Provide the relevant departments with still pictures and extracts of all on air related materials (e.g. press, online, production, marketing, etc.).
Dispatch all on air materials to London with relevant paperwork.
Qualification: Relevant bachelors degree or diploma with a postgraduate preferred.
Experience: Minimum three years of production experience with On Air promotions experience preferred.
Language: Excellent written and verbal command of English.
Communication: The candidate must be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish good relationships with internal and external contacts of all professional levels.
Specific Skills: It's important that the candidate has a good creative eye in order to provide creative feedback to internal and external suppliers. Strong administration and organisation ability is non-negotiable.
Computer Literacy: Strong MS Office. Intermediate Adobe Creative Suites would be preferred (3D animation software experience is a plus).
