Looking for a full time position as Junior producer to join our small teams to create authentic aspirational imagery for stock footage / image libraries.
This is not your average producing job. You need to be willing to bring your skills and experience with you but leave some old industry habits behind. Shooting stock footage is different from shooting films or commercials. It requires a curious mind and an innovative approach to the role of producing because the product is fundamentally different. We are shooting commercials for the world, based on what we see trending visually. We have a blank canvas to economically produce high quality commercial footage that advertisers and broadcasters need and don’t know it yet. If you can’t understand and articulate in an interview how and why this is different then this is not the job for you.
You are responsible for all areas of shoot planning. From start to finish, you get your team through every area of production, putting together shooting schedules, location managing, booking cast and crew, organising permits, transport, craft, assisting the directors on set, facilitating smooth running of all other departments. You work closely with your team to keep keep your team in budget and on target. You will be in charge of a team of production coordinators so you need to have management and leadership skills. You will be briefed by the client and need to be able to make it ALL happen efficiently and smoothly.
You are an organisational geek. Nothing happens in your life that is not mapped out, colour coded and in alphabetical order. Your friends call on you to plan their weddings, birthday parties. You are a problem solver and love logistics.
Ideal candidates would be:
Either a very experience production coordinator (around 5 years) who is ready to get given the opportunity to step into a producing role. Or a young producer who wants to take on more interesting challenges. Someone who has always entrepreneurial drive and enjoys stepping back, seeing the bigger picture. You have the organisation skills to keep the house in order, but the curious and creative mind to think sideways and find a better way of doing things.
To apply send us:
1 minute video of yourself, just say ‘hi’ introduce yourself, let us know what your are about. (does not need to be professionally done, you can use your phone) This is the best and only way we are able to meet every applicant.
Brief cover letter: Tell us about the things you have done that show you are a good fit for the role and prove your awesomeness.
CV / filmography (if that applies to you) and link to your showreel or stuff you have worked on.
NOTE: If you link to something we need to know in what role you were involved in the project
If we like your video+cover letter we will call you in for a quick informal chat to get to know you.
After that we may call you in for a 2nd / 3rd interview.
Applications will not be considered without a video.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE ROLE YOU ARE APPLYING FOR AND YOUR FULL NAME IN THE SUBJECT LINE.
