Camera Department Assistant Cape Town

Hiring a full-time camera department assistant to join our small teams to create aspirational imagery for stock footage/image libraries. You are our camera department assistant. This means you assist with everything.

Therefore you can do anything. You will be managing the gear room, keeping gear neat and tidy, organising cable, tools, gear. You will be helping the camera department in every way you can. You geek out on film gear. You watch YouTube videos about new gimbals/drones/cameras late into the night.

You are organised and cringe when cables are not neatly rolled up. You will hold reflectors, carry heavy stuff, help charge batteries, shop for new cables. You are an all rounder who loves supporting your teams. You will be assisting multiple teams, and you love having one million things on the go and one million bit of gear to keep track of.

You have grit, creativity, determination, skill and talent that go beyond what is easily defined by a cover letter/CV or job description. Just as your abilities go way beyond what your CV can ever capture so does the scope of the position. You go above and beyond.
